Spareribs Steamed with Fermented Beancurd

Fluffy Rice

1 lb. spareribs
3.1/2 oz. ground rice
2 small pcs. fermented beancurd
1 tablespoon soya sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 teaspoon gourmet powder
2 tablespoons cooking wine
2 teaspoons sugar
3 teaspoons minced scallion
2 teaspoons minced ginger root
a dash of pepper

1) Cut spareribs into pieces and put them in a small pot.

Mix fermented beancurd with water into a thick sauce.

2) Mix above sauce, soya sauce, salt, gourmet powder, cooking wine, sugar, minced scallion and ginger, and pepper with spareribs. Marinate for 2 hours.

3) Mix ground rice with marinated spareribs. Divide into two bowls and steam under cover for 2 hours.

Note:

Streaky pork may substitute for spareribs.
